Hello everyone. I'm a new graduate, and I'm looking for my first job as a Risk Analyst. I have applied multiple positions in companies like pension funds, insurance companies and banks. Three companies showed interest in me, and I have some jobinterviews coming. The thing is that all these companies that showed interest in me are pension funds. And the main tasks I have to do is among other things is Operational Risk. The tasks contains quantintive financial risk modelling aswell. My questions is: Will a job in a pension fund still preserve me the option to work with financial risk in the banking sektor? Or would I be stuck in the pension sector? I have a very strong mathmatical background, and I would love to work more quantitative. Im a bit afraid that working with Operational Risk isnt challenging enough. What do you guys think. This title is misleading. It implies that women around the world all have less rights than men. That's not only disingenuous, it's blatant bullshit. Women in the developed world, Western Democracies in particular give women the exact same rights as men. Are there some systemic issues and stereotypes that may make certain things more difficult for women in those countries? Absolutely. But legally, they do have equal rights. To compare them to countries like Saudi Arabia, and much of the Middle-East where women not only do not have the same legal rights as men, but are even legally classified as being subservient to men is absurd. And to try and quantify women's rights by taking an average of data from all-around the world is stupid.

Illegal immigrants are already getting jobs, many places are exploiting them for just that purpose such as migrant farm workers. I don't understand why we or they would care about having a bank account beyond the mild usefulness of it. I would rather we alter our citizenship process to make it easier to get a green card, or implement some other new card that gives them rights while they are waiting for a green card, so we would reduce the number of illegal immigrants and they could be more productive in our society while also being able to benefit more. Our immigration process is heavily flawed and extremely expensive which is a major factor in why so many come here illegally. We need to change this process.
